Hello Fish Fans, The first cool front has passed through Islamorada and the seasons are changin. Packs of small Sailfish have started movin through, some of these fish only weigh about 10 pounds, some about 40 to 50 pounds. This will continue for the next 4 to 6 weeks and by the end of November most of the Sailfish will be 35 to 65 pounds, some even bigger. Right now theres still plenty of Dolphin around, not seein many big ones but schools of 5 to 10 pounders are providing lots of fun on light tackle. The Blackfin Tuna fishin is still excellent, most of these fish are runnin 5 to 10 pounds with a few 20 pounders in the mix. The bottom fishin is still producing reel nice Grouper and Mutton Snapper when the conditions are condusive. The reefs edge is the place to be November thru March, Sailfish, Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo, Kingfish, Groupers and Snappers will all be found about 4 miles offshore in 100 to 200 feet of water. For those who want calm seas under their feet, the inshore fishin will provide lots of light tackle action with Trout, Jacks, Snapper, Spanish Makerel, Cero Makerel, Sharks and more. For those of you planning a trip to the Florida Keys and Islamorada this winter you should reserve your dates soon, late December thru February is booking up on the top boats in Islamorada, right now the Reel Busy is about 50 percent booked during this time period. Ill be back in about 10 days with another fishin report from Islamorada, Sportfishing Capital of the World. Catch You Later, Captain Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
